Project Description

Surrounded by the waves is the glittering capital city of Avarice, a hub of brass and bronze, progressive, and nearly approaching the world of tomorrow. In order for them to progress even further, the government decided to abandon their organic city and move to their man-made island.

Below is the deep, murky abyss where the city’s toxic history, both valuable industrial scrap and dangerous creatures, is stored. The world establishes a strong, cynical contrast between the visible, progressive technology of the surface and the exploitative, high-risk labor beneath the waves required to sustain it.

You play as “fishermen’, a term Charybdis & Co. use for laborers that are sent out to the depths to retrieve valuable scrap from the dangerous ocean floor. To secure a source of living and cover your essential debts, you must consistently risk your life to satisfy the corporation’s demands in hopes of earning a working wage.
